Tha Chill

Tha Chill (born Vernon Johnson in Compton, California 1970) is a co-founder of the Compton based hip hop group, Compton's Most Wanted, along with frontman MC Eiht. During his childhood, ''Chill'' dropped out of highschool and hooked up with neighbourhood friend MC Eiht, to form the group.〔(Tha Chill biography at discogs.com ) Accessed October 20, 2007.〕 Chill has also produced several albums, including ''The Hard Way'' released in 2004 by the Long Beach based supergroup, 213. He contributed musically only on the debut album of Compton's Most Wanted, It's a Compton Thang, as the group disbanded after he was sentenced to three years imprisonment. However, he was subsequently a featured performer on the reunion album, ''Represent''. Tha Chill was set to release his debut solo album, ''Chill Factor'' in 2008.〔(Chill Factor. ) westcoast2k.
